This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Mintons in the 1870s or 1880s. It was produced especially for the retailer “Bailey, Banks & Biddle” of Philadelphia. The saucer has a diameter of 5 inches and the cup is 2 1/4 inches high. It is made of fine, white bone china. The ground color is marigold yellow that shades from the rim, dark yellow to light yellow in the center of the saucer. There are lovely sprigs of enameled flowers around the saucer and on the cup. The off centered design shows the influence of the Japanese culture. The stems and leaves of the plants are enameled in platinum and gold. Condition: Excellent
