This porcelain coffee set was produced in England by Mintons in 1956. The set has the impressed date indicating this year. The set consists of a coffee pot with lid, open sugar bowl, cream pitcher, and 6 cups and saucers. The pot measures 7 1/4 inches high and is 8 1/4 inches from the spout to the handle. A saucer measures 5 inches in diameter and a cup stands 2 1/4 inches high. The set is made of fine white bone china. The decoration is classic in style. Bands of brilliant orange have raised gold detailing. Grecian urns punctuate the borders of the Greek key design. There is rich gold trim on the handles and rims. What an elegant way to serve after dinner coffee with this tasteful Mintons set.
