This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in the United States by the Ceramic Arts Company, which later became Lenox. It was produced at the transition from CAC to Lenox in the period of 1894 to 1906. The saucer has a diameter of 4 ¼ inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The porcelain is fine and translucent. The silver overlay decoration is in art nouveau style of this period. Under the CAC is a unicorn with the letter “M” signifying the Mauser Silver Company which was located in New York City at that time. The silver is finely tooled and skillfully applied. The set has understated elegance in its simplicity. Condition: Excellent
