These 8 goblets were produced in the U.S. by Hawkes at the turn of the 19th century. The mark with three circles containing three hawks is on the bottom of the glass. They are 6 ½ inches high and 3 ¼ inches in diameter. These are examples of the finest quality engraving we have ever had. The glasses are entirely covered with plumes, swirling foliage, and flowers. Touching them is an experience in itself. The stem is faceted like a honey comb. The foot is also delicately engraved. They are light and very fragile. It is amazing something so delicate has survived over a hundred years. Two of the goblets have extremely minor flakes on the edge of the foot. Surely, they are easily repairable. All the rest are in excellent condition.
