This eculle stand or under plate was produced in Germany by Meissen around 1750. It measures 7 ¾ inches in diameter and 1 ½ inches deep. This is a wonderful example of 18th century Meissen flower painting. It has intricate, hand gilded trim. The backside is an unusual powder blue. There is a ½ inch chip on the ring in the center of the plate. There is wear to the gold. In spite of these flaws, this is a rare example of Meissen porcelain for this period. There are no other defects.
