This pair of vases was produced in England by Royal Doulton. We think that they were made in the early 20th century. They are 6 inches high. The porcelain is fine quality bone china. Neither vase is artist signed. Each vase is hand painted with sunset landscapes and sheep in the foreground. The trees and mountains are silhouetted against the evening sky. Each vase is different and opposite of the other. The foot of each vase and tops are gilded. One vase has a very minor chip on the foot in the back. It is 1/8 of an inch. It is barely visible when the vase is set down. There are one or two places with tiny scrapes in the paint that are difficult to see. No other flaws exist. It is rare to find such a fine pair of expertly painted vases. They are works of art.
