| This platter was produced in Germany by the Meissen factory in the 1940’s. It measures 17 ½ inches long, 13 ½ inches wide and is 2 inches deep. The fine porcelain has intricate embossed decoration around the border and around the well in the platter. There is a Kakiemon style hand painted decoration of brightly colored flowers and a butterfly. The rim is trimmed with heavy gilding. The combination of the embossed decoration and the minimal painted design creates an elegant look. This platter is first quality in excellent condition with no defects. | ||
