| These 8 plates were produced in Austria by Pirkenhammer in 1916. They are 9 inches in diameter. The background color is a deep cobalt blue. The decoration of birds and flowers is in three-color gold which is hand painted. The feathers on the birds and veins on the leaves are raised gold. Three of the plates have duplicates and two plates are different from the others. These plates are comparable in style and quality to plates that were produced by Mintons in England. Apparently, these plates were used only for display as there is no wear or damage to the decorated surface. They are all in excellent condition. | ||
