This porcelain serving bowl was produced in England by Hammersley in the 1880s. It has an impressed mark that we could not photograph. It measures 9 3/4 inches square. The porcelain is very fine, white bone china. The bowl is completely hand painted in a style used by Coalport and Minton probably a century before. The floral painting is realistic and quite vivid. There is heavy dentil gold trim on the rim. The gilded rim does have a bit of wear but there is about 97% of the gold intact. There is no crazing, chips, cracks or other defects. This bowl is a most attractive piece that would enhance any home.
