| This porcelain figural group was produced in Germany by Volkstedt in the late 19th century. It is 11 1/2 inches high and the base has a diameter of 5 1/2 inches. The porcelain is fired with a bisque finish, although some ornamentation around the base has a high gloss glaze. The detail in modeling on this group is incredible, right down to the finger nails. Hand painted raised enameling on each figure's clothing is done with minute detail. The bouquet that the lady is holding has each petal to the flower individually applied. There is expression on each face, depicting their emotions. You will not find a finer piece in such excellent condition. | ||
