| This porcelain oyster or clam plate was produced in France by Theodore Haviland Limoges before 1920. The diameter of the plate is 8 1/2 inches. The plate has five clam-shaped wells and a smaller well in the center. The porcelain is fine, white, hard paste porcelain with an excellent high glaze finish. It is decorated with a factory transfer decoration of delicate, drooping violets. The flowers have a flowing, art nouveau style. There are gilded accents on the edges of the plate that also have the art nouveau flavor. This lovely oyster plate is in excellent condition. | ||
