| This porcelain egg mounted on a bronze stand was probably produced in Germany or Austria in the late 19th century. There are no identifying marks. The porcelain egg is 5 1/4 inches long and the egg plus the frame are 5 1/2 inches high. The egg is open on the top to form a little dish or bowl. It is mounted in gilded bronze formed as a vine with leaves and berries. The egg is finished in a marbleized iridescent finish. This is a most unusual piece in excellent condition. | ||
