| This ceramic vase was produced in Holland by Gouda before 1920. It is 5 3/4 inches high and 4 1/4 inches across the handles. The shape of the vase with its handles is classic. The ground color is black with a high gloss, mirror-like finish. It is decorated with colorful art nouveau style florals. The black ground gives a distinct contrast to the lovely, colorful decoration. This vase still has the original label from the factory intact. There are a lot of Gouda pieces available with matte finishes, but this vase with its high gloss glaze is unusual. It is a fine cabinet piece and in excellent condition | ||
