| This porcelain three piece demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Italy by Capodimonte before 1900. The plate has a diameter of 7 1/4 inches, the saucer is 4 5/8 inches, and the cup is 2 1/4 inches high. The porcelain is molded in high relief with landscapes and figures that encircle the cup and border the saucer and the plate. Classical figures are playing musical instruments, weaving garlands of flowers and frolicking in the sun. They are hand painted in very colorful enamels. The centers of the saucer and plate have coats of arms hand painted on them. There is ornate gilding on the plate and heavy gold trim on all three pieces.
