| This porcelain dachshund dog was produced in Germany by Rosenthal before 1960. He is 9 1/4 inches high and 5 1/4 inches across the feet. The renowned artist, Professor T. Karner modeled this figurine. The body language and expression are distinctly Karner's. This pup is modeled with attention to the smallest detail. The musculature and every toe nail are defined. He is realistically hand painted. Best of all, Karner caught the moment of begging. The lift of his ears, the tilt of his head, the pleading eyes and that pose, are just too irresistible. He's saying, "Take me home, please?" For you dachshund collectors out there, this is not your average pup. This doggie is in excellent condition with no restoration. | ||
