This 3-piece porcelain tea set was produced in Germany by Nymphenburg in 1895. The pieces are signed with a stamped green shield and an impressed shield mark. The pot is 8 inches high at the handle and 8 1/2 inches across from the handle to the spout. The set is fashioned in eighteenth century style with the pot having a figural spout. All the pieces have pedestal bases. The handles on the pot and cream pitcher rise high over the body of the piece giving them a graceful appearance. The covered sugar bowl is wide and ample. Each piece is individually hand painted with colorful sprays of flowers similar to the style from the Meissen factory. There is gold trim on the rims and finials of this set. It is a very handsome antique set in excellent condition.
