| This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in France by Haviland Limoges in 1885. The saucer has a diameter of 5 3/4 inches and the cup is 2 3/4 inches high. The name "vermicelli" refers to the embossed decoration molded into the porcelain on both pieces. It gives the porcelain texture. The ground color is ivory. The set is factory transfer decorated with wispy sprigs of branches and flowers. The effect is soft and subtle. There are lacy bands of gilding and gold trim on both pieces. This fine example of Haviland Limoges artistry is in excellent condition. | ||
