| This glass vase was produced in France around 1850 by an unknown manufacturer. The quality of the workmanship is similar to that of Baccarat. The vase is 12 1/4 inches high and the opening has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches. The vase is hand blown and has a wide ground pontil on the bottom. The glass is quite heavy in weight. The body of the vase has an acid finish that makes it feel like silk. It is exquisitely hand painted with large blooms in life-like colors. The back of the vase has a grape vine pattern hand gilded in intricate detail. There is decorative trim in black enamel accenting parts of the vase giving it a Victorian look. This is a handsome antique vase in excellent condition. | ||
