| This porcelain boullion or cream soup cup and saucer was produced in Germany by R. Klemm before 1900. The saucer has a diameter of 5 3/4 inches and the cup is 2 1/2 inches high. The set is made of high quality hard paste porcelain. The cup has a pedestal base and double handles. The saucer has a well that is raised up giving the cup more prominence. The base color is a rich cobalt blue. It is decorated with cartouches containing Watteau scenes of lovers in gardens. The scenes are framed with intricately hand gilded frames. There is gold beading and lacy gold trim accenting both pieces. The rims and handles are trimmed with heavy gilding. This marvelous boullion cup and saucer is in excellent condition. | ||
