Fancy Royal Crown Derby Imari Tea Cup & Saucer

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Royal Crown Derby in 1939. The diameter of the saucer is 5 1/2 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The shape of the cup is unique in that it is blown out and has a twisted rope-like handle. It has transfer floral decorations in iron red. The borders are trimmed with cobalt blue bands which are gilded. There is gold trim on the handle and the rims of both pieces. There is light crazing on the bottom of the cup. This set is in otherwise excellent condition.
