| Pedestrian Bridge, Buffalo, Claire Shuttleworth 1867 - 1930, watercolor/gouache on paper, signed lower left, 8 5/8" by 11 1/2" sight, 14" by 16 7/8" framed in contemporary frame under glass, no restorations apparent, faint central vertical crease. Painter attended Buffalo Art Students League and Academie Vitti in Paris, and studied with George Bridgeman and Frannk Dumond. Painted in Brittany and Pont Aven in France. Exhibited National Academy of Design, Panama Pacific Exhibition of 1915, Paris Salon, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Society of Independent Artists, St. Louis Exposition-World Fair 1904, Chicago Art Institute, Albright Museum in Buffalo, Arnot Art Museum in Elmira, and Syracuse Museum. | ||
