Huichol Ceremonial Embroidered Garment Museum Quality
Man's Huichol Ceremonial Garment
acquired in Jalisco, Mexico from a Shamanistic family that lives in the highlands and travels to the central part of this state

The embroidery is spectacular, and the outfit has been worn at many official ceremonies. Most of the Huichol people wear embroidered outfits to represent who they are, but they also have more intricate suits for religious occasions if they have the time or responsibility to make them.

The eagles and deer are typical of Huichol embroidery, but the full bands of geometric and zigzag work on the pants and the shirt are exquisite and extremely rare to find in this detail and quality. This museum quality Tabard(open tunic) and pant set is in mint condition. A rare and authentic item the open tunic/shirt is 34 & 3/4 inches long. The pants are also 34 & 3/4 inches long. The fabric and embroidery are 100% cotton.
