| 'Tarascan Wedding Dance' fine embroidery from Patzcuaro (Michoacan), Mexico. Framed dimension: 25 by 14 inches. Made in 1999. This lovely and festive embroidery depicts a wedding dance where the 'Bride and Groom' are in their traditional indigenous clothing. This piece is not signed (not unusual for Tarascan embroidery) and was purchased in Patzcuaro at a local women's cooperative where traditional embroideries are sold. The large figures in 'Tarascan Wedding' display an unusual and intricate embroidery technique, particularly in the Bride's skirt and the Groom's outfit. | ||
