Efren Medina has a thirty year trajectory in the plastic arts. Medina studied at Nicaragua's National School of the Arts, under the tutelage of Rodrigo Penalba. As early member of the Praxis Group (that formed in the early 1970's)-- Efren Medina has been instrumental to the formation of a Nicaraguan Modern Art School.
'Two Women'is part of a series called 'Nicaraguapas'-- which means 'Nicaraguan Good-Lookers'. This series celebrates the beauty of Nicaraguan women. Efren Medina has been painting the series 'Nicaraguapas' for over three decades.
