Unsigned Japanese lacquered wood box is decorated in Ajiro design.
Dating from late Meiji period or early Taisho period.

The cover inset with a shibuichi panel decorated in "iroe takazogan"(colored rise inlay) and "katagiri bori"(one side cut carving)with a crane in a river, Ume and pine tree.
All the sides with a basketwork(Ajiro)ground.
It is made of thin strips of cryptomeria with diamond shaped pattern.
