Small and lovely size installed on one hand.
The gold and silver lacquer is magnificent and a detailed technique to be surprised is wonderful.
It has extraordinary work of gold Takamakie(rise makie) of aster and bellflower with gold finish,and a half-moon with silver finish.

The 4th generation Kiyomizu Rokubei(1848-1920)work.

The kyo-yaki earthenware bowl is called "mukouzuke" which is a side dish(not rice or soup) at a Japanese style banquet.

Kiyomizu Rokubei is one of the head families of Kyoto ceramic ware.
The first generation Kiyomizu Rokubei is started to Kyoto Gojo-zaka in the second half of Edo.
A style is left to each family heads' creativity...

Japanese Bizen ware Chaire or tea caddy with a ivory lid by "Mori Touraku-an" .

Date: Meiji era, early 20th century.

"Katatsuki" has pronounced shoulders near the neck.
"Chaire" is a tea caddy, usually ceramic, used to hold strong tea at a tea ceremony.

Mori Touraku-an is one of the most famous pottery producer in Bizen(Okayama prefecture), and one of the "Kamamoto Roku Sei".
There are six great major pottery producer at Bizen ware.

Suwa Sozan(1851-1922)works.
A celadon incense burner with neat form and simple design and carved in silver made globe with phoenix design.
The scene in which a scent is emitted from the phoenix danced on a globe is imagined.

Suwa Sozan came from a military family.
He worked in porcelain, first in Tokyo in 1875; from 1879 to 1900 he worked in Ishikawa-ken, then moved to Kyoto, where he worked with Kinkozan until 1906, when he set up his own workshop in Gojozaka.
