A small box with drawers used for document, sewing or writing.
It is made from rosewood(Shitan).
There are some mark of wear and very slight minor space(a gap) by a bottom board of drawers due to the old age.
Overall condition is in very good.

The impressive design is the knob.
It is made from jewel, natural jade "Hisui".

Date: Edo era, the 1700~1800s.
Old bronze Buddha statue "Eleven-faced Senju Kannon".
Senju means thousand arm.
Since it is difficult to portray one thousand arms, images usually show Senju with two principle arms in gasshou-in (Sk: anjali mudra) in front of his chest and 40 arms, holding attributes and forming mudra, on the sides.
This number can be justified because each hand saves the beings of 25 worlds, and 40 times the 25 equals 1000...
