| This very Beautiful Autumn scene is painted with ink and color on silk. The carp is symbols of success in Japan. Signed artist name "Tensho" and sealed. It is in good condition with minor marks and rucks. Matsunaga Tensho(1879-?) was born in Gifu and studied under Kawamura Mitsubumi and Kawabata Gyokusho(1842-1913). Tensho was good at depicting carp's pattern. Measurements about : 215cm x 55cm, Painted area : 125.2cm x 41cm. | |
