Japanese wooden lacquer box is made with raden works. Aged scratch, some minor spots and a small dent in the interior and inside of the lid. It is decorated with design of chrysanthemum on the light-brown wooden ground which has a nice texture. The motif is made of inlaid mother-of-pearl,raden work. It is distinguished by the austere beauty of its large whitish chrysanthemum. The interiors and the bottom are covered with black lacquer. Dating from Taisho period.(1912-1926) Measurements about: 25.5cm length, 14.5cm wide and 3cm depth. It is in excellent condition except aged scratch and some minor spots. It comes with original signed and stamped wooden kiri box. |
