Fine Wajima lacquer tray with gold Makie. There are pattern varied sets of five and comes with nice original cloth box, decoration stand and certificate of Wajima lacquer ware. The fine decor. The decoration of the each tray depicts scenes and manners of the four seasons in Japan with Makie and Raden work on the Roiro, deep black lacquer ground. Artist name on the tray. Overall condition is excellent except one place of very minor wear. This item is very beautiful black Wajima lacquer ware and look as good as new. It is the best for the present to a valued friend. Dating from Showa period, mid 20th century. Measurements abouts: 21.2 x 21.2 cm, 1.5cm Height. |
