Beautiful pale blue color signed(maker's mark) cloisonne vase is decorated with a pair of carp.
Maker's name is "SHOBIDO Co." in Osaka.
SHOBIDO Co. is a long-established store in Osaka started to Meiji period.
It is a long-established store of the Kansai district which sent out many outstanding Meiji fine arts at the world.
Excellent condition, no chip, no crack, no craze and no repair.
The vase is made using a highly skilled technique especially in splendid cloisonne technique.
The excellent work which made full use of the technology of the cloisonne without wires(Musen-shippo).
Originally, cloisonne is made a division by a line, and glassy glaze pours in it, and it become fixed to firing.
However, wireless cloisonne is the difficult work since removing the line on the way of the process.
Therefore, the softness depended for fading and the color by delicate mixture of glaze which are not in wire cloisonne(Yusen-shippo)is admired.
It looks blurry outline thin.
Though, seem to dive on the bottom of carp. So lovely design.
This piece is a one of the great article of Japan in Meiji period.
Dating from Meiji period, 19th century.
It comes with wooden fit box.
