A piece with the old time of Ando store which famous for high-class cloisonne ware. The excellent work which made full use of the technology of "Moriage-shippo"(rise enamel). This rare Japanese antique cloisonne box is decorated with rose and any flowers on the fine old copper ground. The material of this box is a old copper. It copper color is a note of antiquity, taste for the quiet and simple. The interior has silk cloth. The back side of the cover has family crests by metal. The Braid color is a purple. Ando studio sign chiseled "Ando-zo" and maker's mark on the base of the box. It comes with beautiful antique small silk cloth "Fukusa" with Mt.Fuji design, a original leaflet of Ando in those days and original wooden kiri doubleness box stamped Ando mark. This cloisonne shippo box is fine and recommendation item. "Fukusa" is very beautiful.(Please look check out another page, additional photograph.) It has modern design and vivid color. No rip and no fade. Overall condition is in excellent except minor crack on the rim by age. Dating from Taisho period, early 20th century. Measurements about: 30cm(11.8") Length, 21cm(8.2") Width, 11.5cm(4.5")Tall. |
