Buaku Noh Kyogen Mask

Japanese Noh performance mask which "Buaku".
This mask is a one of a comic interlude(performed as supplementary entertainment during a Noh program).

It face is painted red.
Although this Noh mask makes a demon's face consider, upper teeth are made into one character and touch humorous by the swollen eyelid and big drooping eyes and fainthearted is also shown.
It is used for a demon,Yama(Enma), etc.

Dating from Showa period, 20st century.
It is made by woman artist in Showa, "Kurauchi Tomiyo".
However, unsigned on the mask.

It comes with original silk cloth for keep.
The condition is in very good, no crack and no repaired.
It has fine patina.
