Dating from Meiji period, 1868-1912. Japanese porcelain Kutani ware. It is a tiny vase with two panel which beautiful scenery is painted. It is decorated with two women with the child, the man who composes a haiku poem while looking at a quietly scene, and the spring scenery that a cherry tree blooms. Although it is a very small flower vase, the pattern by the skillful workmanship is very wonderful. Signed "Taniguchi-sei(made)" on the base. The condition is in excellent, no chip and no crack. It comes with wooden kiri-box. Measurements about : 2.8cm(1.10")Mouth Diameter, 5.5cm(2.16")Body Diameter, 9cm(3.54")Tall. |
