Modern Black Lacquer Box with Makie by Nakano Koichi

A living national treasure Nakano Koichi(1947~)work.

He goes into the way of Japanese lacquer art at the age of 22.
Many prizes in Japan are won.
Living national treasure authorization of him was carried out in Heisei 22.
Technique of raised gold lacquer work (Taka-makie)is his strong point.

This box is decorated in gold raised makie and mother-of-pearl inlay work with wheat and beetle design.
The husks of the quail egg and a turban shell are used for mother-of-pearl inlay.

Very slight small wear part on the edge of the box.
Overall condition is in excellent.
It comes with original kiri-box,Tomobako and original keep cloth.

Measurements about : 21.5cm(8.46") X 14.6cm(5.74") X 13.5cm(5.31").
