Very fine Japanese "Go" board and a "Go" bowl and Go pieces set.
Artist name "Somata Shinzan"(1932~).
A famous Wajima lacquer artist with many domestic award histories.
Go bowls are decorated in beautiful rise makie on the roiro(shiny deep black)lacquer ground with tiger and dragon design.
Go board is based on real Japanese nutmeg tree,Hon-Kaya.
A grain of wood is very beautiful.
There are two kind of Go piece.
A white is based on real Japanese common crient clam,Hamaguri.
A black is based on Japanese stone,Nachi-guro.
There very gorgeous work and highest quality goods.
The condition is in excellent.
It comes with original wooden kiri-box and lid of the board.
Signed artist name is on the Tomobako.
Measurements about : A Board / 45.5cm(17.91")X 42cm(16.53")X 24cm(9.44").
