An unusual combination of classic Victorian insect jewelry and the patriotic color combination popular around the time of the Centennial celebrations of 1876. The insect’s folded wings are set with pairs of rubies, sapphires and diamonds. The thorax is represented with a single bezel-set diamond and the eyes are small rubies.
