Gorgeous early American pattern flint glass tall compote in the "Horn Of Plenty" pattern. This piece was most likely produced by Sandwich. The details are very crisp and the glass is very heavy and clear. This particular form has not been reproduced. Origin: America, circa 1860. Condition: excellent, scratches to the bottom of the foot rim consistent with age (no chips); the usual straw marks from the molding process; a small indentation on the foot rim from the molding process. Size: 10-1/4" diameter; 10" tall. |
