A beautiful pair of Victorian 14K yellow gold tassel earrings. The caps are decorated with a fine lines of black taille d’épargne enamel on either side of a band of stippled decoration. The caps are each topped with a gold sphere flanked by two canted rope-twist circles. The foxtail chain tassels terminate in gold balls. Tested and guaranteed 14K gold.
Origin: America, ca. 1860. Condition: excellent, wires are probably replacements, one earring has a 1/16” area of loss to the enamel on the back side. Size: 2-3/8” long from the tops of the earwires. Weight: 12.0 grams.
