A very pretty pair of sterling silver earrings in the shape of pansies. The petals are beautifully enameled in realistic shades of violet and yellow. The basse taille engraved silver underneath the translucent enamel suggests the silky, velvety texture of the petals. The backs retain the original screwbacks marked “Sterling”. Origin: America, ca. 1940. Condition: excellent, no enamel damage, all original. Size: 3/4" x 3/4". Weight: 6.5 grams. |
