A very attractive pair of Art Deco silver cufflinks, the oval faces decorated with niello enamel in a snakeskin pattern. This is a most inventive use of a naturalistic theme for niello work. The backs are marked with Swiss hallmarks for 800 silver and have an unidentified maker’s mark (a conjoined T and P within in shield). The torpedo-shaped backs are plain silver. Origin: Switzerland, ca. 1935. Condition: excellent, all original. Size: 7/8” x 9/16”. Weight: 7.25 grams. |
