An extremely rare pair of period Art Deco 18K gold cufflinks by Cartier in the "Trinity" pattern. This is the same pattern now more frequently called the "rolling ring". The design is made up of white, yellow and rose gold bands that seem to intertwine. The cufflinks have an invisible hinged closure. Although the "Trinity" design (created in the 1920's) is still one of Cartier's most popular lines, the cufflinks haven't been in production since the early years of the line. Each is marked with the French "tete d'aigle" hallmark for 18K gold, Cartier's maker's mark, the serial number "016528", and the signature "Cartier Paris". Origin: France, ca. 1930. Condition: excellent, all original. Size: 1" diameter; 9/32" wide. Weight: 21.0 grams. |
