A wonderful pair of gold cufflinks made from a pair of 1898 five-ruble gold coins. The front of each coin shows the profile of Czar Nicholas II, while the observe shows the imperial Romanov double-headed eagle. Both coins are from the St. Petersburg mint. The coins themselves are 900/1000 pure (22K) and are set in 18K yellow gold mountings. The coins are in very fine condition, with only the most minimal wear, and have not been altered during the mounting process. The mountings are marked “750” for 18K gold. Origin: Russia, 1898 (coins). Condition: excellent, minimal wear. Size: 3/4" diameter. Weight: 16.5 grams. |
