Here is an extremely large vase by Berndt Friberg for Gustavsberg. It measures 16 3/8" (42cm) tall and is 3 1/4" (8.5cm) in diameter. On the underside is incised Friberg with the Gustavsberg Studio hand insignia. The date code J signifies this vessel was created in 1968. Remnants of the original labels are intact. The haresfur glaze is yellow with hints of green. Excellent condition though the glaze thins out as it reaches the foot ring.

Without a doubt I can say that after 33 years of dealing in Scandinavian ceramics this is the best creation of Gunnar Nylund I have ever encountered. The glaze is highly unusual complex of greens and earth tones. It measures 14 1/8" (37cm) tall and is 4" (10cm) in diameter. On the underside is incised R with three crowns, Sweden, and G.N. Absolutely magnificent.
