| This is a very uncommon Berndt Friberg vase. It measures 5 1/2" high and is 3 1/2" in diameter. The glaze is complex of deep reds and blues, and is extraordinary. The cover of the vase is completely removable, and is glazed throughout. On the underside is incised Friberg with the Gustavsberg hand, and the letter L, which dates this piece to 1970. Condition is mint. This is the exact vase that is photographed in the Schiffer book SCANDINAVIAN CERAMICS AND GLASS by Fischler and Gould (p. 58) | ||
