Quality Ancient Egyptian Late Period Faience Ushabti
STOCK #: AE050611-15RS
CULTURE: Ancient Egyptian
DATE: c. Late Period, 664-332 B.C.
MATERIAL(S): Faience
DIMENSIONS: 3.612” (91.75 mm) tall
CONDITION: Intact with slight rubbing to tip of beard and nose. Glue from former collection present on underside of base, but that only adds to provenance.

COMMENTS: A very nice, Ancient Egyptian Late Period faience ushabti. Intended to serve the deceased in the afterlife, ushabtis have been found in many Ancient Egyptian tombs. This ushabti depicted is a lovely, rare and affordable, authentic example of such mummiform, humanoid figures. Comes with custom display stand.

PROVENANCE: Provenanced to a reputable NY dealer's elderly friend. A substantial collection compiled over decades with great scrutiny.

*Prices in US$ and item is guaranteed authentic. Please see our Sales Policy and AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEE for full details.
