Francoise Gall, french, 1912-1987. This wonderful beach scene is Francoise Gall at his best. It is oil on canvas, 16 1/8" L by 9.5" H in a beautiful 20th C gold leaf frame with outer dimensions of 22 6/8" L by 16 1/8" H. It is signed lower right and is in good condition. His paintings sell for up to $50,000 at auction.

Lucien Neuquelman, French, 1909-1988. This painting is oil on canvas, signed lower left. It is 20" by 24" in a very beautiful french frame from the 1930's. Jules Rene Herve, France, 1887-1981, Known for: genre, city scenes, and landscape painting. 9.5"H by 14"W in original frame 14 3/4" by 19" Gallery Label and other label verso, Signed LR, J Herve Mathe, verso Le Bord Du Epnnal 1933, Excellent Condition. This size and quality painting usually sells for $1200.and up. An impressionist French artist whose subjects ranged from rural genre to Parisien city scenes and whose reputation was for shimmering colors, Jules Rene Herve was born in Langres in eastern France. He first studied art in evening classes in his hometown, knowing as a child he wanted to be an artist. Then he enrolled in the School of Decorative Arts in Paris, and in 1910, first exhibited a painting in the Salon of French Artists. In 1914, he received the Medaille d'Argent (silver medal) from the French Artists association, and from that time was a regular exhibitor at the Paris Salons. However, his painting career was interrupted because of serving in the Army for the duration of World War I. He had earned a teaching certificate, and from 1911 to 1943, with the exception of his war service, was an art instructor for many students.As a painter, he preferred solitude, and was not focused on publicity or being a part of any 'group' of like-minded painters. His paintings are in collections in Pads, Langares, Saint-Etienne, Annecy and Tourcoing France; and in Chicago at the Art Institute, and the Dahesh Museum in New York City.

Claude Charles Buck, Santa Cruz, California, 1890-1974. This stunning jewel is Claude Buck at his usual dreamy best. It is oil on board of a beautiful nude with long flowing red hair sitting outside in a dreamy landscape. It is 7" H by 6" W. It is oil on board and initialed "CB" His painting go for up to $25,000 and he is listed in Davenport and Who was Who in American Art.

Provenance: Private Midwest Collection Leslie Hindman Auction,Private Chicago Collection Serge Petrovitch Ivanoff, born Moscow in 1893 -1983. Ivanoff studied at the St. Petersburg Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture from 1917. In 1922 he went to Paris, escaping the Bolsheviks. From 1960 to circa 1970, he undertook several trips to the United States and eventually returned to France. He painted mostly portraits, among them some well-known names such as Paul Valéry, Eleanor Roosevelt and Pope Pius XI. .

John Costigan, RI and NY, 1888-1972. This painting is oil on canvasboard, 16" by 19 7/8" in a 5" impressionist frame. It is signed and inscribed with the artist's address on the reverse. It is in very good condition and is in a French Impressionist frame. Costigan has an extensive exhibition and award record at the Corcoran Gallery. His work is in the Museum of Modern Art, Cranbrook, Boston Museum among others. He is listed in Who was Who in American Art and will be the subject of an upcoming retrospective in New York.

Duilio Barnabe: Italian 1914-1961. This "Seated Pierrot" is oil and mixed media on board signed lower right DBarnabe. It is 25.50" by 19.50" and is framed 30.50" by 19.50".

Francois Gall, Hungarian/French, 1912-1987 "Le Petit Dejeuner" is a beautiful oil on canvas signed F. Gall (lower right) 20 x 17 1/2 inches, good condition, circa 1940-50. It is Gall at his very best and was in the private collection of Frederic Stern of the Gering Galleries on Wilshire Blvd, Beverly hills, CA.

MArsh Avery, 1932-, American, Maine. Potrait of Woman in Green, Oil on canvasboard, 17" by 13", signed Marsh Avery LL. Verso Bearing an Esther Stuttman Gallery, 13 E 75th St , NY, 21 Inventory number #1549F Dated 1954.

Frederick Frary Fursman, Chicago, Illinois, 1874-1943. This American Impressionist Painting is a lovely subject matter with children in a park. It has beautiful shadows and lovely brushwork. It is an oil on canvas 15" by 18" in a very good 3" newer gold leaf frame. Provenance: Private MidWest Collection, Bought from Timothy Keene estate sale of Frederick Fursman held in Milwaukee. Guaranteed by Frederick Furman Estate. Has estate number 59 and Fursman Monogram Verso. There is some very minor craquelure but not disturbing to the painting.

Italian artist Duilio Barnabé (1914-1961). Oil on canvas in beautiful silver leafed frame. 21cm h by 28cm w. (8.6" by 11.2").

Raphael Soyer, N.A., NY 1899-1987. This charming portrait of a nude black haired woman with upturned arms is oil on canvas. It is about 8" by 10" in a lovely newer frame. It was in the private collection of a prominent North Carolina Art Dealer.

Constantine Kluge, French, 1912-2003. This wonderful oil on canvas is 28 by 35.5 in a modern 3" gold leaf frame for overall dimensions of 34" by 41.5". It is in very good condition and is signed lower right.

Clarence Hinkle, American, Santa Barbara, CA, 1880-1960, oil on board, 16" X 20", signed on lower right, in a modern American Impressionist frame ( overall 25.5" by 30.5". This atmospheric impressionist painting conveys his interest in City and Landscapes. It is beautifully executed in fluid brush strokes in lovely pastel colors and is probably a scene in San Francisco Cincinnatti or perhaps Philadelphia,. This artist studied in California and Paris, has exhibited in Calif and the Corcoran, work in Museum in Calif and Vermont, teacher and member of art org. References are in Britannica, Dawdy, Hughes, Mallett, Samuels, Who's. There are extensive auction records and he lists up to $35,000.
