This delightful oil on panel is a charming example of Verhosen's 19th C animal paintings. It is signed lower right and is 6 7/8" by 11 7/8" and is housed in a perfect 19th C gold leaf frame with overall dimensions of 12" by 16".
William Baptiste Baird, American, 1847-1899.
This small jewel is a lovely example of Baird's work. It is about 11.5 by 15" in an exquisite 19th c Gold leaf frame that is 4" wide. Frame dimensions 19.5" by 24". He painted scenes in the USA and in France. This particular painting has a very "Corot" like feeling but is in Baird's color palette.
Nancy Gensburg 1973 This cast aluminum sculpture is a seated figure that reminds one of the classic seated yoga posture. It was made about in 1973. It is 32" by 38" on a wooden base measuring 16" by 32".
