We are very proud to offer a rare scarce vintage Tibetan coral nobleman's cap or headdress. It would probably have been made and owned by the Khampa people of the Himalayas. The cap (headdress) would have been ceremonial and worn only several times a year at festivals or weddings. This example has reddish coral, turquoise, amber, shell, agate, and silver metal tiny beads with a black cloth lining. There are very many strands of reddish coral in many shapes and sizes...

We are very proud to offer a vintage Japanese short silk jacket. The silk is “textured” & I think they call this chenille. This particular jacket is very dramatic & very colorful. There is a ferocious, swirling, 3-toed dragon claiming a flaming pearl among clouds. The hem has a “cintemani” or cloud design. It consists of three over-lapping circles, & stripes are supposed to represent “tiger-stripes”. The motifs on this beautiful coat are fierce, to ward off evil, & to intimidate...
