We are very proud to offer one of the finest examples of Ecru Linen Pointe de Venise ever made. Our tablecloth measures 72 inches x 112 inches. It is a very elaborate , beautiful buttonhole hand-stitched needlepoint lace. This lace was sewn onto paper & then paper was removed. It is very tedious & time consuming to make. It would have taken hundreds of hours, if not several years, to complete. This tablecloth has many designs & many extra fancy stitches...

We are very proud to offer a fantastic chair, although chair is a misnomer, as it is really a Throne Chair made for an Emperor of Japan during the short-lived Meiji Period 1868-1912. This important magnificent Throne Chair looks red in color & might well be rose-wood or red mulberry, but I do not know for certain. The Throne is 70 inches high x 28 inches across arms. My darling husband of 41 years Dr. Curry (retired) is standing next to it, & he is just under 6 feet tall. The carvings are swirli...

We are very proud to offer an Antique, heavily carved, Japanese Meiji (1868-1912) ladies dressing table & a true matching chair. The Japanese culture has a long history of fabulous wood carving. However, "carved" furniture itself was never produced in Japan until about 1865-1868. This change was a consequence of Westernization. It really began after European tourists asked for furniture that was Japanese-looking but with a European function. This type of furniture began in Yokohama & Hamamono by...
